1: Hidden in the Rock:
The painting depicts a flowing of oil and water pouring down from heaven, God’s life giving Spirit surrounding a figure of a man hidden in a rock whilst the figure of Jesus looks lovingly on. Jesus is depicted as our refuge, security and protection. The colours and shapes represent the breast and breath of God.
Psa 91: vs 1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall rest under the
shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Jehovah, my refuge and my fortress; my God;
in him I trust. |

2: Rivers in the Desert:
The landscape of our lives changes, but in all things the Lord turns them round all to good and brings forth beauty.
ls 43 vs 18 Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. 19I am
about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way
in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. |

3: Heaven touching Earth:
Jesus on the cross dominates the picture, which represents the gift of salvation, His blood cutting through to the depths of the earth. The power of the Resurrection is in the form of a dove resting on His shoulder, symbolising
the Holy Spirit’s presence and the Father’s affirmation of being the beloved.
Mark 1 vs 10 10 As Jesus was coming up out of the water, John saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove. 11And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; and with you I am well pleased”. |

4: Woman at the Well:
Jesus said “Out of our innermost being will flow rivers of living water.” This painting
depicts the finger of God pointing towards a bowed woman. The gold and purple represent divinity and royalty, the breath of the Holy Spirit and angelic beings; the blue ribbons, the continual flowing of the River of Life.
John 10 vs 10: Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who I am,
you would ask me, and I would give you living water”. |
 |
5: Pathways to Life:
The lines and colours show life from birth with the seed breaking open representing changing patterns of life and a continual connection although sometimes fragile to the rock who is Jesus as our anchor and foundation.
Psa 23 vs 3: He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness
for His names sake.

5: Walking through:
This painting reflects the guidance and keeping power of the Lord Jesus who never leaves nor forsakes us. ‘Walking through’ life is depicted by water, valleys and steps through the fire. The presence of the Lord is represented by the sun rising behind the fire, with angels and doves on each step of our journey.
ls 43 vs 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers,
they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or
scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.
